
The flagship regional event will bring together high-ranking labour officials, policymakers, industry leaders, education providers, and social partners to explore the theme, “AI, Digitalisation and Green Jobs: Future-Proofing Skills and Talents for Asean”.
Organised by the human resources ministry, the two-day forum will feature plenary and networking sessions.
Topics of focus include green jobs in the digital economy, upskilling supply chain workers, and AI-powered training for a green economy.
The AGJF is part of a series of high-impact programmes led by the ministry in line with Malaysia’s Asean chairmanship.
The forum, to be held at Le Méridien, Putrajaya, will be officiated by human resources minister Steven Sim.
Dignitaries who will be attending the AGJF include Terri-Ann O’Quinn, the first secretary of the Australian Mission to Asean; Jakkraphong Sumethchotimetha, the adviser to Thailand’s labour minister; and Carmela I Torres, an undersecretary of the Philippines’ labour department.
