PETALING JAYA: A 60-year-old man was killed after the excavator he was operating was buried in a landslide in Keramat Pulai, Ipoh, today.
Perak fire and rescue department acting assistant director Shazlean Hanafiah said they received an emergency call about the incident at 1.52pm.
He said the victim, who was trapped in the vehicle after it was buried under a pile of earth, was carrying out excavation work on a hillside when the slope gave way, Kosmo reported.
Another excavator was used to remove the soil before the man could be extracted from the vehicle.
