PETALING JAYA: A person in Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) top management was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) this evening.
The arrest is believed to involve procurement in an information technology-linked project, Berita Harian reported.
The senior officer was arrested at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya when he came to give his statement today.
Besides the officer, two members of the public were also arrested. They are believed to be contractors for the project.
It is understood that MACC will bring the trio to a Putrajaya court tomorrow morning for a remand order.
An MACC source confirmed the arrests with FMT when contacted.
