PETALING JAYA: The Sarawak premier’s new office was officially named the Satria Pertiwi Complex at its soft launch tonight.
The administrative complex in Petra Jaya, dubbed Sarawak’s “White House” for its resemblance to the residence and workplace of the US president in Washington, was launched by Sarawak governor Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, the Dayak Daily reported.
It was held in conjunction with Abang Johari Openg’s 75th birthday.
The Satria Pertiwi Complex replaces Wisma Bapa Malaysia as the new administrative hub for the state government.
Abang Johari previously said the building is not a residence.
