Cops step up hunt for gunman after Klang shooting incident

Police are intensifying their efforts to track down a man involved in a shooting incident and the discovery of spent bullet casings in Klang last Thursday.

Klang Selatan deputy police chief Kamal Ariffin Aman Shah said police received a report from a member of the public regarding the incident at 11.15pm the same day, Bernama reported.

The motive behind the gunman firing several shots outside a house is still under investigation.

Police are investigating the case for discharging a firearm under Section 39 of the Arms Act 1960.

Earlier, a video on the shooting incident at Taman Sentosa Phase 19, Klang, had gone viral on social media.

It showed two men on a motorcycle passing by a house before making a U-turn. One of them fired several shots at the house before fleeing.

No one was reported to have been injured.
