SINGAPORE: A woman was taken to hospital after her car fell into a giant pothole that opened up in Tanjong Katong road today. A video circulating online shows a car almost fully submerged in the water-filled hole.
Singapore’s national water agency said on Facebook that the woman was conscious when she was rescued by a civil defence team.
Two water mains were damaged when the road gave way at about 5pm, adjacent to an existing PUB worksite. Two lanes of the road were affected and have been closed to traffic.
