KUALA LUMPUR: TH Plantations Bhd CEO Zainurin Zain and CFO Marliyana Omar have been served with show-cause letters over alleged unauthorised payments of RM5.1 million to plantation workers.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, TH Plantations said Zainurin has been placed on garden leave until further notice while Marliyana chose to tender her resignation with immediate effect.
“The company shall continue its business as usual.
“In the interim, the functions of the CEO shall be assumed by a temporary committee until further notice,” it said.
The temporary board committee comprises TH Plantations chairman Ahmad Kushairi Din, independent non-executive director Kasmuri Sukardi, non-independent non-executive director Nor Adila Ismail, and chief operating officer Alikamal Abu Hassan.
TH Plantations is an oil palm company under Tabung Haji.
