PETALING JAYA: Rescuers have found the body of a 15-year-old boy who was reported to have fallen into Sungai Kuantan in Pahang yesterday.
Kuantan police acting chief Adli Mat Daud said the body of Isyraf Danish Razmi was found at 12.40pm today about 1km from where he was believed to have slipped and fallen into the river, Buletin TV3 reported.
Adli said the body was sent to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for an autopsy.
Isyraf was believed to have gone to the riverbank to retrieve a snagged fishing line while fishing with his friends at about 6.30pm yesterday.
Police received information of his disappearance about an hour later and mobilised a search and rescue operation with the fire and rescue department and the Civil Defence Force.
