KUANTAN:
An unexploded 250kg aerial bomb commonly used during World War II was discovered at a housing project site in Bukit Goh here yesterday.

Kuantan acting police chief Adli Mat Daud said the bomb was found by a contractor at about 2.50pm before a team of policemen went to the scene.

After a risk assessment was made by a bomb disposal unit, the device was disposed of using the “low order” method, to reduce the impact of tremors on homes about 200m from the site.

“The disposal was carried out safely at 10am today,” he said in a statement.
