In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MSM said Syed Feizal, 60, is stepping down to pursue personal interests after leading the company since February 2021.

MSM also said there were no disagreements between Syed Feizal and the board, and no matters arising from his resignation that required shareholder attention.

It also announced that its group chief operating officer, Hasni Ahmad, 57, will be acting group CEO effective tomorrow.

Hasni, who has a degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University in the US, has served as MSM’s COO since 2021 and previously held senior operational roles at FGV Holdings Bhd.
