PETALING JAYA:
Global tech giant HCLTech has announced a multi-year strategic partnership with OpenAI to drive the large-scale adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) among enterprises.

The collaboration sees HCLTech becoming one of the first strategic services partners for OpenAI.

According to a joint statement, HCLTech will incorporate OpenAI’s models into its own suite of industry-focused offerings, including AI Force, AI Foundry, and its AI Engineering and domain-specific accelerators.

The end-to-end integration will support clients through every phase of AI deployment, from readiness assessments and integration to governance and enterprise-scale rollout.

As part of the initiative, HCLTech will also adopt ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI APIs internally, giving more than 223,000 employees access to secure, enterprise-grade generative AI tools.

HCLTech Global chief technology officer and head of ecosystems Vijay Guntur said the collaboration underscored the company’s commitment to empowering Global 2000 enterprises with transformative AI solutions.

“It reaffirms HCLTech’s engineering heritage and aligns with OpenAI’s spirit of innovation,” he said.

Giancarlo “GC” Lionetti, chief commercial officer at OpenAI, said HCLTech’s industry knowledge and engineering capabilities were key to scaling AI adoption.

“They’re accelerating productivity and setting a new standard for how industries can transform using generative AI,” he said.
