Its operator, Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, said the expansion, involving four high-traffic zones, was a strategic step to facilitate urban mobility.
In the CBD, nine vans will serve Kuala Lumpur’s golden triangle of Jalan Imbi, Jalan Sultan Ismail, and Jalan Raja Chulan.
Three vans will ply the route of the Gombak LRT station to Taman Selaseh or International Islamic University Malaysia.
The two other routes are Universiti Putra Malaysia MRT station–IOI City mall and Kelana Jaya LRT station–Taman SEA/Damansara Jaya, with two vans allocated to each.
“The introduction of these new zones proves our commitment to providing a public transport system that’s not only inclusive but also responsive to the needs of commuters,” said Prasarana Malaysia Bhd chief operating officer Amir Hamdan.
Rapid KL On-Demand services can be booked via the Rapid On-Demand phone application from 6am to 11.30pm at a promotional price of RM1 per trip.
