PETALING JAYA:
KPJ Healthcare Bhd invested RM406 million in capital expenditure in FY2024, marking a 66% increase compared to the previous year.

KPJ Healthcare held its 32nd annual general meeting today, highlighting continued progress in its transformation strategy under the KPJ Health System – while reporting a solid financial performance for FY2024 and a steady start to FY2025.

In a statement, KPJ Healthcare said its investments last year supported infrastructure upgrades, digital expansion, and the launch of its 30th hospital, KPJ Kuala Selangor Specialist Hospital, in April.

KPJ Healthcare said these initiatives reflect its long-term strategy to build a future-ready, integrated healthcare system.

“Beyond our financial results, we continued to advance our transformation journey under the KPJ Health System – a framework that integrates care, education, and research,” said KPJ Healthcare chairman Ismail Bakar.

“This strategy reinforces our commitment to improving health outcomes and delivering long-term value.”

KPJ Healthcare said it remained focused on building the capabilities required for future growth, particularly in digitalisation, talent development, and integrated care models.

“We are executing long-term strategies to expand our specialist talent pool, enhance research capabilities, and embed digital solutions across the organisation,” said KPJ Healthcare president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan.

“These are critical to delivering better outcomes and positioning KPJ as a leading integrated healthcare provider in the region,” he said.

KPJ Healthcare launched its 30th hospital, KPJ Kuala Selangor Specialist Hospital, in April.

In 2024, KPJ Healthcare continued to strengthen its digital ecosystem through the adoption of smart technologies, AI-assisted diagnostics, and enhancements to its KPJ Cares mobile app.

It also maintained its focus on sustainability, including environmental and community health initiatives.

Looking ahead, KPJ Healthcare said it would advance the development of its Centres of Excellence, strengthen integration across clinical, research, and educational pillars, and continue to optimise hospital operations under the KPJ Health System.

As part of this momentum, KPJ Healthcare is also co-hosting the Malaysia International Healthcare Megatrends 2025 with the health ministry from Nov 25-27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

KPJ Healthcare said it remained committed to growing its regional footprint while delivering accessible, high-quality care to communities across the country.

KPJ Healthcare operates a network of 30 hospitals across Malaysia, supported by four ambulatory care centres in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Perak, and Selangor.

With more than 1,491 medical consultants, KPJ Healthcare provides quality care to over 3.3 million patients annually.
