PETALING JAYA:
The 99-year-old Bukit Rotan post office, one of the oldest in the country, narrowly missed being badly damaged today when a sand truck crashed into it.

It is understood that the truck lost control while swerving to avoid a car that emerged from a junction, before hitting the front section of the historic building.

However, Kosmo reported that no one sustained injuries and only a small portion of the post office’s front structure was damaged.

Built in 1926, the post office is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary next year.

The incident drew public attention, with concerns raised that this heritage building could be lost if not properly preserved.

Video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms and has been widely shared on Facebook.
