PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested five men for suspected involvement in a brawl near the parking area of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium last night.

Cheras deputy police chief Ridzuan Khalid said the suspects, aged between 19 and 27, were arrested at 11.50pm after the 2027 Asian Cup Group F qualifying match between Malaysia and Vietnam.

Berita Harian reported him as saying the five were remanded for a day, and that the case is being investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting.

In a minute-long video of the incident shared online, a group of men can be seen fighting just outside the stadium’s parking area.

Several traffic policemen can be seen attempting to break up the brawl, and shutting the stadium’s fence gates to prevent more people from joining in.
