Body of woman discovered on beach at Kuala Langat

Police say there are no signs of foul play in the death of the victim, believed to be a foreigner.

PETALING JAYA:
The body of a woman, believed to be a foreign national, was found in a decomposed state along the beach at Kampung Tumbuk in Tanjung Sepat, Selangor, last Saturday.

Kuala Langat police chief Akmalrizal Radzi said police were alerted to the discovery after receiving a distress call at about 12.45pm.

The body was found lying on the shoreline, he said in a statement. There were no signs of criminal elements, and the case has been classified as sudden death.

Akmalrizal said efforts had been made to trace the woman’s next of kin or acquaintances, but no one has come forward to identify or claim the body.
