The world No 4 pair took only 31 minutes to defeat Denmark’s Mats Vestergaard-Christine Busch Andreasen 21-9, 21-12. The Malaysians have now won all three encounters.
Their victory came shortly after Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Jemie Lai, ranked No 5 in the world, booked their quarter-final spot earlier in the day.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who recently reunited after a brief separation, are expected to face a tougher test next against Denmark’s world No 8 pair Jesper Toft-Amalie Magelund.
The Malaysians are still seeking their first final appearance of the year. Their last title came at the Korea Open in 2024, followed by a runner-up finish at the World Tour Super 1000 in China last December.
