
Nurul Izzah credited Rafizi with always daring to take on those in power and speaking the truth, while championing policies on good governance, transparency, and economic justice.
The former Permatang Pauh MP expressed confidence that many of Rafizi’s policy ideas would continue to be implemented by the government.
“That’s not because it’s his ideas or mine, but because it’s the best thing for Malaysia.
“Rafizi’s ideas and mindset will always be a strength (for the country), whether he’s a member of the administration or not. Our nation needs bold ideas and measures, and I believe he still has much to contribute.
“Whatever direction he takes, I am confident that he will continue to shape this nation’s future in a meaningful way,” she said in a Facebook post.
Rafizi earlier announced his resignation as the economy minister. He had said he would quit the Cabinet if he were to lose to Nurul Izzah in the race for the PKR deputy president’s post.
