Teacher killed in crash, 2 injured

Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

PETALING JAYA:
A teacher was killed after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed off the road at Km126 of Jalan Persekutuan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Muallim deputy police chief Suhaimi Muhamad said Zulhisam Mansur, 56, was on his way from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in Tanjong Malim, Perak, to Batang Kali, Selangor, Harian Metro reported.

He said Zulhisam’s  multi-purpose vehicle veered off the road onto an embankment.

“He was pronounced dead at the scene,” he said.

Two passengers – a 54-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy – sustained injuries.
