
Hilir Perak police chief Bakri Zainal Abidin said Aniq Taufiq Rozi was sent to his house in Arau, Perlis, by ambulance at 9.30pm.
“The police, in collaboration with Medifa Care Teluk Intan, arranged accommodation for the family and provided the ambulance to send him home,” he said.
Currently, seven victims are receiving treatment at two hospitals – six at Teluk Intan Hospital and one at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here.
Yesterday, Bakri was reported to have said that three FRU members involved in the accident remained in critical condition and unconscious, while four others, including Aniq, had regained consciousness and continued receiving treatment at Teluk Intan Hospital.
He said one critically-injured FRU member was transferred to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital and was still being treated in the intensive care unit.
In the 8.50am incident on Tuesday, nine members of FRU Unit 5 at Sungai Senam here were killed when the truck they were travelling in collided with a lorry carrying gravel.
Eight men died at the scene, while another succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Teluk Intan Hospital.
