Loke conveys condolences over Jacquita Gonzales’s passing

The transport minister describes her as a courageous and steadfast voice for the families of MH370.

Transport minister Loke Siew Fook said Jacquita Gonzales’s strength, compassion, and tireless pursuit of truth in the face of unimaginable loss had touched the hearts of many.

Transport minister Loke Siew Fook has conveyed his condolences to the family of Jacquita Gonzales, the wife of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 inflight supervisor Patrick Gomes, who died yesterday.

Loke said he was deeply saddened to learn of Gonzales’s death, describing her as “a courageous and steadfast voice for the families of MH370”.

“On behalf of the ministry, I extend my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” he said in a statement.

He also said that her strength, compassion, and tireless pursuit of truth in the face of unimaginable loss had touched the hearts of many.

“Her legacy will remain a beacon of resilience for all who continue to seek closure,” he added.

Gonzales’s death was announced on the MH370 Families Facebook page yesterday evening.
