PETALING JAYA:
Malaysia has been crowned world champions for the third year in a row at the 2025 World Sport Stacking Championship in Switzerland.

The national team, comprising Chan Keng Ian, Luw Tze Hin, Liew Zi Hin, Brandon Low, Wong Jun Xian and Woo Xin Yi, won the International Challenge event.

Top stackers Chan and Woo were also crowned world champions in the doubles events, while Carthur Lee finished as runner-up in the All-Around event in the championship held over the weekend.

An All-Around event in the World Stacking Society Association (WSSA) involves competing in various individual sport stacking events, such as the 3-3-3, 3-6-3, and Cycle events.

In the Special Stacker All-Around category, Malaysia’s Umar Idris and Nur Farizah Zulaikha claimed the top spot.

According to the WSSA, a “Special Stacker” is a competitor who has a diagnosed disability that impacts their ability to perform the stacking sequence.

The wins come after the stackers dominated the national circuit earlier this month, with more than 300 competitors gathering at i-City Mall for the final local showdown ahead of the world championship.
