KUALA LUMPUR: A police inspector has been arrested by the federal anti-narcotics squad for allegedly partying and consuming a drink suspected to contain drugs at an entertainment centre in Pandan Perdana here on Friday.
According to a source, the 43-year-old officer was arrested at 5.05pm following a tip-off and tested positive for four types of drugs: amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and benzodiazepine.
The source said the inspector had admitted to consuming the drug-laced juice at the entertainment centre, and that the supply was obtained from a man at the premises.
Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the arrest. “The case is currently being investigated by the Selangor police, and the officer has been remanded until tomorrow,” he said.
