ALOR SETAR: A female student at Universiti Utara Malaysia died after being crushed in a freak accident involving two buses at a campus bus stop this morning.
Kubang Pasu police chief Radzi Abdul Rahim said Manarina Hasya Karim, 22, was pinned against a road divider when the bus she was attempting to board was hit from behind by another bus.
Radzi said she was queuing up to board the bus when it was hit. “The impact caused the first bus to jolt forward and hit a metal road divider, pinning the victim,” he said.
Manarina, who is from Johor, died in hospital after almost 10 hours.
