Wan Rosdy said Chow’s actions did not represent the stance of DAP as a whole, Kosmo reported.
“We leave the matter to the authorities. Our country upholds the rule of law, and all parties must abide by it,” he was quoted as saying in Bidor.
Wan Rosdy was responding to a call by PAS for Umno to clarify its stance on the involvement of Chow in the illegal use of state land for durian farming.
Chow and Save Musang King Alliance chairman Wilson Chang were arrested on Monday for alleged obstruction. They have since been released on police bail.
After his release, the Raub MP continued to call for an immediate halt to the felling of durian trees on the farm.
Media reports previously said that farmers had blocked access routes and displayed banners to express their dissatisfaction after enforcement personnel destroyed their decades-old crops.
The Pahang government denied violating a court order in felling around 200 Musang King durian trees during the enforcement operation in Sungai Klau, Raub, on April 8.
