PETALING JAYA:
PKR’s election committee will review all objections to the 2025 party election results after the conclusion of voting at the division level, says the committee’s chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

In a statement today, she said the committee had taken note of the objections raised and would examine each of them together with the system developer and the appointed auditor.

“The decisions on all objections will be announced once the voting process at the division level is completed,” she said.

Zaliha also reminded those voting in the second phase of the party election to ensure that their Adil mobile app is updated to the latest version before casting their votes.

She said the first phase of the election, which involved voting for committee members as well as the women and youth wing leadership posts at the division level, ran from April 11-13.

The PKR division elections in Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, the federal territories, Pahang, Sabah and Johor are expected to take place from Friday to Sunday.

Earlier today, Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail urged PKR to postpone the remainder of its division elections scheduled for this coming weekend following alleged “irregularities” in the polling process.

“As a member of the central committee, I am speaking up and urging that the issue be addressed urgently.

“I also recommend that the remaining division elections scheduled for this weekend be postponed until these irregularities are investigated and resolved,” she said.

Rodziah failed to defend her Shah Alam division chief’s post last weekend.

She was defeated by Kota Anggerik assemblyman Najwan Halimi, who garnered 1,213 votes against her 899 votes.

Rodziah said she found it “odd” she was the only candidate in her team who not only lost but received the lowest number of votes.

“As a former assemblyman in Shah Alam, I”m well known here. And in the previous party elections, I actually secured more votes than the rest of my team,” she said.
