
The 37-year-old man died in the incident at 2.10am.
This came soon after a Myanmar national in his 30s crashed his motorcycle in the right lane at KM 16 of Jalan Johor Bahru-Kota Tinggi, Johor, and died from head injuries.
Seri Alam police chief Sohaimi Ishak said the local man, who was nearby, stopped to assist by alerting other motorists and managing traffic around the crash site while waiting for emergency services.
“However, a BMW driven by a 25-year-old man suddenly struck him, causing serious internal injuries,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
The Good Samaritan died at the scene while the car driver sustained minor facial injuries.
Sohaimi said initial investigations found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He has been remanded for four days to facilitate further investigations.
