PETALING JAYA:
The Pahang health department has set up an investigation committee to probe allegations of misconduct by a medical officer serving at one of its facilities.

In a statement, the department said it had received three reports over the matter via the Public Complaints Management System (Sispaa) on Wednesday and Thursday.

It said the doctor in question was said to have acted inappropriately and unprofessionally towards members of the public.

“The investigation is currently under way in accordance with established procedures,” it said.

The department also urged those with information on the matter to contact the investigation team at 09-5707836/7835/7847.

“The department will not be issuing any further statements until the probe is completed to preserve the integrity of the process,” it added.
