PETALING JAYA:
The body of a 27-year-old man was found after a flood in Section 25, Shah Alam, today.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said a member of the public reported discovering the body of a man, believed to have been electrocuted, at a site used to store construction material at Jalan Padu 25/127, Taman Alam Indah.

Iqbal said an initial investigation found that the deceased, a Sri Lankan national, was lying face down.

“An examination of the body found no signs of struggle or injuries that could have caused the death,” he said, adding that the man had been living in the quarters at the site.

A dog was also found dead nearby, believed to have also died from electrocution.

The man’s body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for a post-mortem.

The case has been classified as sudden death.

Police urged those with information to contact investigation officer Fildza Che Ibrahim at 016-9537372.
