Businessman fined RM4,300 for hitting man with helmet

PETALING JAYA:
A businessman was fined RM4,300 by a magistrates’ court in Melaka today after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a man with a helmet at Taman Cheng Utama in Ayer Keroh.

Ariff Izzat Shaharudin, 27, was slapped with the fine for voluntarily hurting Yusri Omar, 52, on March 27.

Ariff and Yusri were also fined RM800 each after pleading guilty to fighting that day.

The facts of the case showed that they were involved in a scuffle outside the entrance to Taman Cheng Utama.

A video of the brawl was uploaded on Facebook.
