Teen dies in 3-vehicle crash on NSE in Johor

PETALING JAYA:
A teenager died in a three-vehicle crash southbound on Km23 of the North-South Expressway in Kulai, Johor, today.

Sinar Harian reported Kulai police chief Tan Seng Lee as saying the 18-year-old apparently lost control of his motorcycle in the 12.30am incident and rammed into the rear of a car driven by a 21-year-old woman.

“A 15-year-old on another motorcycle was unable to avoid them and collided with the previous motorcyclist who had fallen onto the road.

“The first motorcyclist suffered a severe injury to the head and was confirmed dead at Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital in Kulai.

“The other motorcyclist suffered mild injuries to his face and legs,” he said.

Tan said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for death by reckless or dangerous driving.

He said members of the public with information on the matter could contact Kulai traffic investigator Firdaus Mustaffa at 011-2608 1008.
