
He called for outstanding payments to be settled before the films, which he did not name, are allowed to be screened.
He said “at least two films have not paid their crew despite receiving incentives from the Creative Content Fund. As a result, we have blocked their screening,” he said.
Fahmi said applications for incentives from the fund will open on March 24, with two new categories, the micro drama fund and post-production fund, while the marketing and distribution fund is being reintroduced.
The fund also includes a dedicated TV programme fund for Borneo and a marketing fund for international participation and promotion.
