Salim Fateh Din now chairman of MACC’s anti-corruption advisory board

The anti-graft agency says Salim Fateh Din’s appointment is effective from Feb 2.

PETALING JAYA:
Salim Fateh Din has been appointed as chairman of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) Anti-Corruption Advisory Board (ACAB).

In a statement, the anti-graft agency said Salim’s appointment is for a three-year period, effective from Feb 2

The appointment was made with the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the prime minister, in accordance with Section 13 of the MACC Act 2009, it added.

Salim is also the chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), a position he has held since March 2023

He first served as a commission member in the MCMC between 2010 and 2014. He was reappointed to the post in January 2022.

In June of the same year, he was appointed interim chairman of the MCMC and took over as its chairman on March 1, 2023.
