PETALING JAYA:
Fraud examiner and entrepreneur Raymon Ram has been elected president of Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) for the 2025-2027 term.

He succeeds Muhammad Mohan, who has completed his six-year term.

TI-M said Raymon, its previous secretary-general, brings with him a wealth of experience in combating economic crime.

“Throughout his career, Raymon has led numerous corporate fraud investigations and asset recovery initiatives,” it said in a statement following today’s annual general meeting.

“He has also facilitated various anti-fraud training programmes for both local law enforcement agencies and private sector entities.”

It said he had also contributed significantly to TI-M’s mission of promoting transparency and integrity in Malaysia as secretary-general.

The others elected for the new term are deputy president Chew Phye Keat, secretary-general Nuridzuana Ismail, and treasurer Geetha Rubasundram.

The six executive committee members are Nisha Kamilla Sundra Rajoo, Nazri Shaidon, Balbeer Singh, Sahul Hamid Mohamed Maiddin, Zalily Zaman Khan and Fareedah Kamarulzaman.

“The new leadership is committed to building upon (the previous committee’s) efforts, focusing on advocacy, research, and institutional reforms to promote transparency, accountability, and integrity in Malaysia,” TI-M said.
