PETALING JAYA:
A court has fined a woman RM3,000 for biting a Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officer during an enforcement operation recently.

Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said the 30-year-old was charged in court yesterday, Berita Harian reported.

“The woman was charged under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant. She pleaded guilty and was fined RM3,000 by the court,” he was quoted as saying.

Separately, Sulizmie said an investigation paper on three male suspects, aged between 15 and 39, also for obstructing a public servant, will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor.

It was previously reported that DBKL enforcement officers were injured in attacks by unlicensed traders in two separate cases on Wednesday, which saw four people arrested and two police reports lodged.

A video shared on social media recently showed a female hawker shouting at three female DBKL officers who tried to calm her down during an enforcement operation.
