7 senior civil servants moved to new posts

The changes involve the secretaries-general of five ministries, ICU chief, and a private secretary to the prime minister.

Chief Secretary to the Government Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said these changes are in line with the government’s agenda to reform the public service.
KUALA LUMPUR:
Seven senior civil servants have been given new positions from Monday. The changes involve five ministries, the implementation and coordination unit, and the Prime Minister’s Office.

The new secretaries-general are:

  • Aminuddin Hassim – education ministry;
  • Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad – science, technology, and innovation ministry;
  • Ruji Ubi – national unity ministry;
  • Anesee Ibrahim – higher education ministry; and
  • Shaharuddin Abu Sohot- tourism, arts and culture ministry.

Sollehuddin Alyubi Zakaria becomes the director-general of the implementation coordination unit in the Prime Minister’s Department.

Shahrol Anuwar Sarman has been named principal private secretary to the prime minister.

The appointments were announced today by Chief Secretary to the Government Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Bernama reported.
