PETALING JAYA:
The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) today said its exhibition booth at ITB Berlin will be fully operational despite a “minor technical issue”.

In a statement, it said the issue, which was related to the booth’s structure, was being addressed by its German-based contractor.

The board said the booth remains intact and is on track for its official launch at the convention today.

“STB’s presence at ITB Berlin continues as planned. We look forward to welcoming and engaging with visitors throughout the event,” it said.

A Facebook user said yesterday the booth was shut down as the structure was “deemed unsafe”.

The Facebook user also claimed that the police had “cordoned off” the exhibit at ITB Berlin, one of the world’s largest travel trade shows.
