PUTRAJAYA: British multinational semiconductor company Arm Holdings has expressed interest in establishing a base in Malaysia, said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also the finance minister, said he had an online discussion this morning with Arm’s CEO, Rene Haas, along with SoftBank Group Corp CEO Masayoshi Son.
“Regarding the design and manufacturing of semiconductors, they (Arm) are among the best in the world.
“They have chosen to base themselves in Malaysia, and we are grateful, Alhamdulillah,” he told reporters after Friday prayers at the Sultan Alam Shah school’s mosque.
