PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating the killing of a puppy in Rawang, allegedly by a man who was angry after it stole food from his house.
Gombak police chief Noor Ariffin Nasir confirmed receiving a report on the incident and said an investigation has been opened under the Animal Welfare Act, Berita Harian reported.
“An investigation is ongoing,” he was quoted as saying, and added that police will issue a statement soon.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows a woman confronting a man, who is seen kicking the puppy’s lifeless body.
