KUALA LUMPUR:
The national science centre in Kuala Lumpur will be closed from March 1 to Sept 30 for upgrade works, says deputy science, technology and innovation minister Yusof Apdal.

Yusof told the Dewan Rakyat that the upgrade works were necessary to ensure the comfort of future visitors and enhance their overall experience.

“The closure is part of efforts to revitalise the science exhibition galleries by implementing development and upgrading projects to improve both facilities and exhibition content,” he said.

During the closure, the national science centre will hold mobile science exhibitions and other outreach activities nationwide to foster greater interest in science and technology among Malaysians.

“These outreach programmes will bring science exploration directly to the public, ensuring continued engagement and education, even while the centre undergoes renovations,” Yusof added.
