SHAH ALAM:
Police have arrested another man believed to be linked to a brawl that occurred during a mixed martial arts (MMA) competition here two days ago.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said the 61-year-old suspect was arrested at a restaurant in Puchong at about 10pm yesterday.

“Checks revealed that the suspect has eight criminal records. He has been remanded for three days to assist investigations,” Iqbal said in a statement, adding that the remand period for the other two suspects arrested on Feb 23 had been extended by a day.

The police were previously quoted as saying that they were looking into the possible involvement of gangsters that had caused an argument between two contestants, whose participation in the tournament was cancelled, that led to a brawl involving 15 people.
