PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating an incident in Genting Highlands, Pahang, where a car skidded and crashed due to reckless driving.
Bentong police chief Zaiham Kahar said the 27-year-old driver of the Honda CR-Z filed a police report at 11.05am yesterday saying he had lost control of the vehicle while heading up the highland.
In a statement, Zaiham said a 12-second video of the incident had gone viral on TikTok, showing the car being driven recklessly before skidding and careening off the road.
“The actions of the driver endangered other road users,” he said, adding that the driver had been summoned to give his statement.
The case is being probed under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless and dangerous driving.
