
Hafizul Hawari, 38, changed his plea after the charges were read before judge Zulkifli Abdullah, Berita Harian reported.
The court set next Tuesday for the presentation of case facts and sentencing.
Hafizul faces charges under Section 8 of the Firearms (Increased Penalties) Act 1971 of illegally possessing a pistol, Section 8(a) of the Arms Act 1960 of possessing 33 bullets, and Section 8 of the Explosives Act 1957 of possessing a package of firecrackers without a permit.
He also faces three charges under the National Registration Regulations 1990 of possessing three MyKads belonging to others, and one charge under Section 108(3)(f) of the Road Transport Act 1987 of using a fake vehicle registration number plate.
The offences were allegedly committed in a Honda Civic at KPJ Perdana Specialist Hospital, Kota Bharu, on April 15, 2024.
Deputy public prosecutor Ahmad Faiz Fitri Mohamad prosecuted, while Hafizul was represented by lawyer Nik Mohd Faris Syazwan Zainuzzaman.
Hafizul also faces attempted murder charges in the Sepang sessions court for allegedly trying to kill his wife and injure her bodyguard at KLIA on April 14, 2024.
He pleaded not guilty to those charges.
