PETALING JAYA: A six-year-old boy was bitten by a python which slithered into a toilet bowl at his home in Saujana Melawati in Ampang, Selangor, yesterday.
The child, identified as Hadi, went to the toilet and was lifting the toilet bowl lid when the snake bit him in the groin area and on his hand, Harian Metro reported.
“I was cooking at the time when I heard my son scream and rush out of the room bleeding (at about 11am),” said Hadi’s mother, Adibah Aziz.
“After he told me that a snake bit him, I immediately went out to ask my neighbours to help call for an ambulance and the civil defence force,” she added.
The child was rushed to Ampang Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. The python meanwhile was caught by civil defence personnel.
