The number of couples selected corresponds to Tunku Azizah’s age this year.
Tunku Azizah expressed gratitude that TAFF, established in 2005, has successfully helped bring 143 babies into the world through IVF treatments, benefitting 120 couples.
“TAFF received more than 500 applications between 2020 and 2024, and these 65 couples are fortunate to have met the criteria set.
“I hope all treatments will be successful and I pray that Allah grants the couples success,” she said when officiating the event.

Tunku Azizah, who underwent 17 IVF cycles before being blessed with children, also shared her personal experience.
Among the recipients of the sponsorship were Fikry Amri Halim and Sabrina Hakiem Zaini from Melaka, who tragically lost their only child in September last year due to abuse at a daycare centre.
Their child, Muhammad Al Fateh Amri, was born after a 13-year wait.
“We were quite shocked to learn that the death of our child had garnered the attention of the Tengku Ampuan Pahang, and we are truly honoured to receive this IVF sponsorship,” said Fikry, as reported by Bernama.
