Hannah suing me over ‘Christianisation’ claim, says Perak PAS chief

Razman Zakaria says he is not being sued for linking the Segambut MP to the Yeoh family of YTL Corporation.

Last month, DAP’s Hannah Yeoh (right) said her lawyers would serve a letter of demand on Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria for making allegedly defamatory allegations against her in a speech at a Perak PAS event.
PETALING JAYA:
Perak PAS chief Razman Zakaria claims that DAP’s Hannah Yeoh is threatening to sue him for linking her to a “Christianisation” agenda.

In a Facebook post, Razman said the Segambut MP was not planning to sue him over his false claim that she was linked to the Yeoh family of the YTL Corporation Bhd conglomerate.

However, the Perak opposition leader did not elaborate.

Last month, Yeoh said her lawyers would serve Razman a letter of demand for making allegedly defamatory allegations against her in a speech at a Perak PAS event attended by over 5,000 delegates.

Yeoh, the youth and sports minister, did not disclose the details of the allegations.

In the speech, Razman had claimed that the DAP MP was the “daughter of a rich man” and a “daughter of YTL”. He later apologised for his “mistake”.

The Gunong Semanggol assemblyman previously apologised to Teluk Intan MP and federal minister Nga Kor Ming as well, for claiming he was involved in a controversial parade where some participants had waved the China flag.

In 2023, meanwhile, Razman apologised in court to Anwar Ibrahim for claiming that he had condoned lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender practices.
