While Razman later apologised for his claim that the Segambut MP was the “daughter of a rich man” and a “daughter of YTL”, Yeoh said the PAS leader had made other allegedly defamatory allegations against her in the same speech.
“Wait for a letter (of demand) from my lawyer. Slander cannot be allowed to be a norm, especially among religious people,” the youth and sports minister said in a post on X.
Yeoh slammed Razman over his claim yesterday, telling the Gunong Semanggol assemblyman that “not all Yeohs are related”.
Razman apologised for his “mistake” but also expressed disappointment over the media coverage of his speech.
He accused the press of deliberately focusing on the 10-second part which referenced Yeoh without reporting on the other parts or broader issues.
The speech was made at a three-day event in Perak involving PAS’s three wings and attended by over 5,000 delegates.
