A source from MACC said they were arrested yesterday.
Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin granted a five-day remand order for the suspects, aged between 20 and 40, starting today.
MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrests of the four men and two women, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 16(b)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
“The 19 individuals who were previously remanded have been released on MACC bail,” he said.
MACC had arrested five bank officers, comprising three men and two women, on Tuesday in connection with its probe.
Yesterday, Azam said the anti-graft agency had frozen RM22 million in assets in its investigation into the case, involving 98 bank accounts across six banks.
Previously, a MACC source said the commission had received complaints about bribery involving banking institution officials who allegedly facilitated and approved personal loan applications for a financial consultancy company.
The source said these officials were believed to have received bribes from the firm, which prepared documents purportedly containing false information about clients applying for personal loans.
MACC is believed to have raided 24 locations, including residences and offices in the Klang Valley, since last week in an operation codenamed Op Sky.
