
PETALING JAYA: A civil servant with the Pahang education department has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly submitting RM10,000 worth of false claims since 2023.
The suspect, in his 40s, was issued a six-day remand order until Jan 27 by magistrate Nor Izzati Zakaria at the Kuantan magistrates’ court today.
Bernama quoted an MACC source as saying the man was arrested after giving his statement at the Pahang MACC headquarters yesterday.
State MACC director Hairuzam Amin @ Hamim confirmed the arrest.
