MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki said there was no case against the individual involved.
“I have informed youth and sports minister Hannah Yeoh of this update.
“MACC will be sending a complete investigation report, including recommendations on issues relating to governance, to the association soon,” he told a press conference at the MACC headquarters here.
He also said the investigation paper on the case was referred to the deputy public prosecutor’s office yesterday.
Azam added that the MACC had recorded statements from 13 witnesses with respect to the case.
On Dec 3, BAM confirmed that MACC officers had gone to its headquarters to request certain information.
Azam had previously said that the anti-graft agency was not investigating the national badminton body as a whole, just “someone in a high-ranking committee”.
Previously, Yeoh had urged the public not to speculate on the matter, saying such probes were standard procedure when complaints were lodged with the MACC.
